This Privacy Policy explains how Pawmance ("Pawmance," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Nexi Corp, collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the Pawmance mobile app and website (the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to this Policy.

1. Who we are
Pawmance is a pet breeding matchmaking service operated by Nexi Corp, United States. For privacy questions, contact us at support@pawmance.us.
2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information: name, email address, password, and (optionally) phone number.
- Pet profiles: species, breed, sex, age, weight, color, registry and registration numbers, descriptions, and photos.
- Health and verification records: vaccination status, genetic test results, health scores, and any documents you upload.
- Messages: the content of messages you send to other users through the Service.
- Payment information: when you subscribe, payment is processed by our payment provider (Apple, Google, or Stripe). We do not store full card numbers.
Information collected automatically
- Usage data: screens viewed, swipes, matches, and feature interactions.
- Device data: device type, operating system, app version, and identifiers.
- Approximate or precise location: used to show nearby pets and matches. You can control location access in your device settings.
3. How we use your information
We use information to: create and manage your account; build and display pet profiles; power discovery, matching, and messaging; show health and verification status; process subscriptions and payments; provide customer support; keep the Service safe (fraud prevention, moderation, enforcement of our Terms); send service-related and, with your consent, marketing communications; and improve and develop the Service.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
Where applicable, we process personal data on the bases of: performance of a contract (providing the Service), your consent (e.g., precise location, marketing), our legitimate interests (security, improvement), and compliance with legal obligations.
5. How we share information
- Service providers who help us run the Service, including Supabase (hosting, database, storage), our payment providers (Apple, Google, Stripe), and analytics and push-notification providers.
- Other users — information you choose to publish (pet profile, photos, and verification badges) is visible to other users; your contact details are not shared until you choose to share them in chat.
- Legal and safety — to comply with law, enforce our Terms, or protect the rights, safety, and property of users and the public.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not sell your personal information.
6. Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal data within [30] days, except where we must retain it for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, or security purposes.
7. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or restrict the processing of your personal data, and to object or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, use the in-app controls or email support@pawmance.us.
- California (CCPA/CPRA): you have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell your data.
- EEA/UK (GDPR): you may lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.
8. Account and data deletion

Deleting your account removes your profile, pets, photos, health records, and messages, subject to the limited retention described in Section 6.
9. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children's privacy
The Service is intended only for users 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will delete it. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact support@pawmance.us.
11. International data transfers
We may process and store information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
12. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated version with a new "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
